They say that Chica was the most beautiful woman that João Fernandes, the young new governor of Tijuco, had ever seen. His passion defied the scandal, the frowns and the whispers. Hated and feared, envied and praised, all bow now to queen Chica.

They say that her luxurious dresses could have been the envy of the court of Versailles. Here she wears the sumptuous Le Carnivale Baroque Gown, one of the latest creations by Silvan Moon, which you can find at We ❤ RP until the end of July. It’s absolutely exquisite, with wonderful rigging that reacts like heavy skirts would, and gorgeous hand painted textures.

Crown of love and death

By my power, you all shall kneel, you all must kiss her decaying hand, and swear your allegiance to Dona Inês de Castro, my queen, your queen, the queen you have despised and cruelly murder.

The Mondego River will sing sad sonnets for her name on the warm summer nights, and the blood she shed will mark the Fountain of Tears for the ages to come, for nobody can ever forget how much I loved Dona Inês, and how unfairly her life was destroyed.

My text is based on a legend surrounding the death of Inês de Castro, lover and allegedly secret wife of prince Pedro of Portugal. She was legitimized as queen after her death, when the heartbroken prince became Pedro I, King of Portugal. This is as far as documented history goes.

Legend claims that he had her exhumed and forced his nobles to kiss her hand and swear allegiance to her as queen, and that he executed her killers by ripping off their hearts, one through the chest and the other one through the back. None of this confirmed, but remains as one of the most tragic real life love stories of Portuguese history.

They rest buried together, their sumptuous marble coffins facing each other, so that they will see each other face to face when they’re awaken, on Judgement Day.

Playing her parchment moon

The starless silence,
fleeing from her rhythmic tambourine,

his night filled with silvery swarms.

We all rise to the music that calls for us, tambourines mark the beat, and a guitar brings the known old song under the insistence of his expert hands. The dance marries the song, timid at first, then lively and bright.

The fabrics of our garments flutter in the wind. These are the beautiful Song of Shaharazad Gowns, one of the latest creations by Silvan Moon, which you can find exclusively at We ❤ RP until the end of May.

These beautiful dancers are wearing it in blue and purple, but there are other colors available, and they will be reduced during the event. Fitted for Slink Physique and Maitreya Lara, the textures are exquisite as usual, and the rigging is wonderful, even if you swing your body to the rhythm.

Copper and silver gleam on delightful bistred skins, shining under a friendly moon. I’m wearing the beautiful Spellbound set, by Zuri Jewelry. One of Zuri’s timeless collections, this is a new Elite version: I can choose several colors of gems, pearl, and metal. I’m also wearing the matching Spellbound Elite engagement ring.

The beautiful Vardo – Romani wagons on the background are a fantastic creation by Anachron, and they’re waiting for you at The Chapter Four, only for a couple more days.

Available in three different colors and splendid designs, these wagons are also scripted to make you feel at home. You can open and close windows, blinds, and doors, there are different single and cuddling animations, and the fire in the furnace can be lit on and off. Perfect to snuggle, hang out, or take a little nap.

This amazing Underworld Gate is a super cool teleporter created by Anachron for Genre. It’s resizable and comes with easy instructions to set it up on your land. The gate circle is, of course, animated and it looks fantastic.

The gown is the absolutely stunning Light of Sarin by Silvan Moon, fit for a queen indeed. I can’t sing enough praises about this gown. It comes in various strong colors at the Fantasy Faire, about which I’ve been bragging all week, and it will also be available in pastel colors very soon at We

Even though the gown includes a head piece, tonight I’m wearing the marvelous Lilith Head Dress, a dark dream of black roses and emeralds, and one of the latest releases by Zuri Jewelry. At last, the Spring remembered this cold corner of the world, and a playful sun poured joy and warmth all around.

It’s time to leave those heavy garments behind and walk on this beautiful silky, flowy, and delicate Rhapsody gown. This is the last creation of Silvan Moon, found exclusively at We RP until the end of April. Fitted for Slink and Maitreya and available in a few sweet tones, this light dress will be reduced during the event.

My jewelry comes from -you guessed it- Zuri Jewelry. The adorable floral tiara that I wear is the Elite version of the Nahla Floral Crown (not available yet, but coming soon!). A Song with Swords

Her life was a whirlwind of duels, seduction, grave-robbing, and convent-burning so intense that she had to be pardoned by the king of France TWICE. So is an introduction to the life of Julie d’Aubigny, in the words of Jason Porath.

Around her early 20’s, this girl was an opera diva known as La Maupin, who could duel any man with her sword and win the favors of any suitor… man or woman. I chose to cosplay this badass -and somewhat sociopathic- lady in both her facets.

She was the rock star of her time, and here she wears one of the latest creations of Silvan Moon, the Divine Regency gown in midnight tones. This gown is Blue Moon original mesh and The White Armory hand painted textures, in the new line I introduced in my last post. She also rocks Zuri Jewelry’s Madeline Set in cobalt blue.

Out of the stage, la Maupin gave fierce dueling demonstrations, usually dressed as a man, and her talent with the sword was so, that her fans had trouble believing she was a woman. Here she wears the matching outfit of the Divine Regency gown, the Earl of Regent doublet, also created by Silvan Moon. Designed for SL male shapes, I knew that I wanted to cosplay la Maupin as soon as I saw it. I’m wearing the fitmesh version on a male shape, altered to look as androgynous as possible. This was my somewhat anachronistic Joséphine Bonaparte, as she wrote her letter of marriage dissolution to Napoléon. She’s wearing the latest design by Silvan Moon. Silvan Moon is a new line, created by two of my favorite stores: the gorgeous original mesh by BlueMoon Enterprises and the stunning textures by The White Armory. I’m very excited about this new line!
